Falcon boys win two more conference games

The OABCIG boys’ won a pair of conference basketball games last week to stay unbeaten in the WVC at 8-0. A third conference game against Siouxland Christian in Ida Grove Thursday was postponed until Monday, Jan. 27.

With a win over Siouxland, the Falcon boys would have sole possession of the WVC regular season crown. A loss to Siouxland would leave OABCIG and Siouxland in a first-place tie at 8-1. See next week’s Courier for results.

Falcon coach Steve Brown said, regardless of what happens in the Siouxland game, his team has done an outstanding job in the WVC this season.

“Whether we win outright or tie for the conference championship, it has been an impressive performance by the boys, considering we lost five of our top six players from last season and our late start to this season because of the football championship,” said Brown.”

OABCIG went in to the Siouxland game with a 9-4 record overall. Siouxland was 12-1.
