Ida County Democrats, Republicans ready to caucus

Ida County Democrats and Republicans will gather Monday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m. as part of Iowa’s presidential year caucuses.

The caucuses begin promptly at 7 p.m., but any participants should plan to arrive at their precinct location early to get checked in and seated. Arriving early allows for the caucus to begin on time.

Ida County Republicans (all precincts) will meet at Lohff-Schumann Memorial Community Center in Holstein at 7 p.m.

Ida County Democrats in wards one, two and three in Ida Grove, the cities of Arthur and Battle Creek and Corwin, Blaine, Hayes, Silver Creek, Maple, Garfield, Grant, Battle and Logan Townships will meet at the OABCIG Elementary School in Ida Grove.

Democrats in precincts five and six, which includes the cities of Galva and Holstein, and Galva, Griggs and Douglas Townships, will meet at Galva-Holstein/Ridge View High School in Holstein. 

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the caucus to begin at 7 p.m.
