Donald Lawrence ‘Larry’ Nelson

1944 – 2023

 

LAKE VIEW - Larry Nelson’s last hard fought battle was with cancer, and on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, he passed away at his home surrounded by his family.

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wall Lake, Iowa, with Father Joe Dillinger and Deacon Butch Stone officiating. Visitation will take place Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ferguson Cemetery in Lake View with Military Graveside Rites being performed by Eilert-Auen American Legion Post #133 of Lake View and the United States Marine Corps Funeral Honor Guard. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home of Lake View has been entrusted to care for Larry and his family.
