Cooper DeJean claims three state track titles

OABCIG’s Cooper DeJean closed out a stellar high school athletic career Saturday by winning three state championships and placing second in another event at the class 2A state track and field meet in Des Moines.

DeJean, who is headed to the University of Iowa to play football, won the long jump and the 100-meter dash, and was part of the winning 4x100 relay. He was second in the 200-meter dash.

On his Twitter account, Cooper DeJean thanked those who helped him achieve his three state track titles and two football championships. “Just like that my athletic career at OABCIG is over.
