Joseph Brian “Joe” Rohlf, the son of Richard G. and Shari L. (Simon) Rohlf, was born on May 23, 1975, in Ida Grove. He grew up in Odebolt and received his education from Odebolt-Arthur High School, graduating with the class of 1994. After high school, Joe went on to attend Iowa Lake Community College in Emmetsburg, where he earned a trade degree in marine mechanics.

After completing his education, Joe worked at Speeds Golf Carts and Black Hawk Marina. He later continued his career as a small engine mechanic with Hultgren Implement and then Vetter Equipment. Most recently, Joe was actively engaged in farming at the time of his passing.

Joe was blessed with three children. From his first marriage to Tara Thompson, he welcomed two sons, Lee and Aden. On June 8, 2012, Joe was united in marriage to Angie Conover, and together they were blessed with a daughter, Izabelle. Family meant everything to Joe, and he cherished the time they spent together; especially family gatherings where he enjoyed grilling or cooking on his smoker.

In his spare time, Joe enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and riding ATVs. He also spent time gardening and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Never one to sit still, Joe liked tinkering with anything mechanical and had a special fondness for International and Case equipment.
