The Ida Grove ambulance department recently received two new Max Air helmets. The helmets are controlled air purifying respirators. They allow the ambulance crew to work with COVID-19 patients without fear of catching the virus, or without fear of possibly transferring the virus from themselves to patients. The helmets were made possible by donations from the community.
Joyce Schnabel, paramedic with the Ida Grove ambulance department, talked about the gift of the new equipment. .
