Philip Daniel performed at the King Theatre on Nov. 15. Daniel played music on his piano accompanied by electronics that he composed. Daniel has composed for films and dancers during his career as a pianist and composer.
Ducks Unlimited - Maple River Chapter had their 41st Annual Banquet on Nov. 18 at the Skate Palace. The evening began at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour for people to meet with each other and browse the many auction items.
A Ladies Stagette brings a casino night to the Ida Grove Country Club on Friday, Nov. 17. There was Black Jack, Texas Hold em and other games of chance. Many tables of prizes to award the ladies who came to enjoy the night. Cocktails were at 5 p.m. and a meal served at 6 p.m. catered by the Best of Barb’s Catering.
Peggy Gebers of Holstein, leader of the Battle Badgers 4-H club, has dedicated much of her life to helping young people in 4-H. Gebers recently hit a milestone in her years of volunteer service.
North Star Community Credit Union recently donated $10,000 to support the Ida Grove Economic Development Corporation’s Downtown Small Business Development Grant.
