The 2025 Session of the 91st Iowa General Assembly ended early in the morning on May 15th, after a 22-hour day. We accomplished a great deal, and I cannot possibly cover every piece of legislation that was passed.
Traveling across Iowa on my 36 County Tour, I hear from so many small business owners and workers who want a government that works for them, not against them.
June is National Dairy Month, which means it’s that time of year that a lot of households try to limit what they’re baking, roasting, etc. in their ovens.
July will be a special month in the sky. The summer’s most recognizable constellations, Scorpius (the Scorpion) followed by Sagittarius (the Archer) will be climbing into good view low in the southern sky. Their main stars form outlines that look like a scorpion and a teapot.
Where have all the flowers gone? I'll take and tell you where a good chunk of the flowers have gone: two places, at the intersection of Highway 34 and the Henry-Des Moines County Line Road on the east end of New London, better known as Heald Trucking; and all along Main Street in Mediapolis (Mepo).
