Bridge grand opening celebrated

A dedication for the Heffron-Dankert Bridge took place Friday afternoon.

A bridge dating back to 1965 was in place until early this year.

Having stood the test of time for over half of a century, the bridge left a legacy to live up to.

With months of work now behind the city, this was a chance to celebrate its replacement.

“And I’m hoping this bridge will be something our community can be proud of for many, many years,” said Mayor Devlun Whiteing.

Funding for the bridge was a major commitment.
