The Ida County Conservation Center hosted the Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 23.People joined to be part of this century-old nation-wide annual bird count.

Workers continue to make progress on the new City Hall building in downtown Ida Grove. Construction continues, even as workers await a new front door to be installed, according to Kelly Young, Projects Management Clerk for Ida Grove. Young stated once the front door is completed around January 15, workers will be able to start on the flooring. L&L Builders is the head contractor on the project.

Grant Godbersen has been named the new President of Godbersen-Smith Construction Company, the parent company of GOMACO Corporation. The announcement was made during a special meeting of the Godbersen-Smith Board of Directors on Nov. 16, 2023.
