The OABCIG boys golf squad captured first place in the Western Valley Conference golf meet on a windy day in Quimby last week. The Falcons shot a team score of 159, just two strokes better than second place Ridge View, who finished with a 161. OABCIG was led by Griffin Diersen, who fired a 37 to capture runner-up medalist honors. Right behind him was Axton Miller with a 38. Kane Ladwig fired a 41, followed closely by Kale Ladwig, Ben Hofmeister, and Jackson Godbersen, who shot identical scores of 43.
The Ridge View girls track and field squad found success in Ida Grove again, winning the OABCIG Coed Track Meet last Tuesday. The Raptors scored 148 team points, compared to second place Fort Dodge with 96 points. In the 100 meter dash, Hannah Ehrp took third place in a time of 14.03 seconds, while Kiara Dutler took seventh place with a time of 14.47 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Gabi Mason captured third place with a time of 28.35 seconds, while Taya Phillips took seventh place with a time of 29.69 seconds. Mya Henningson turned in a time of 30.96 seconds.
The Ridge View boys track and field squad captured first place in Ida Grove last Tuesday. The Raptors scored 246 team points, compared to 203 points for OABCIG and 78 points for Boyer Valley. Isaac Goettsch won the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.07 seconds, while Kade Wright and Austin Wood took fifth and sixth place with times of 12.64 and 13.17 seconds respectively. Payton Wittrock took fourth place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.37 seconds, while Travis Wiese took sixth place in a time of 25.94 seconds.

Ridge View won the meet with 148 team points, while Fort Dodge scored 96 points, Bishop Heelan scored 81 points, Woodbine scored 41 points, and Boyer Valley scored 33 points.

The Falcons had two golfers place in the top five individual scores, as Rylee Krayenhagen shot a 52 to capture third place, and Avaree Miller shot a 53 to earn fifth place. Natalie Burk fired a 60, while Kiersten Schultz shot a 75. OABCIG finished with a team score of 240, compared to first place MVAO-COU with a 214.

The Raptors scored 187 team points, compared to second place Lawton-Bronson’s 128.5 points. Ridge View took second and third place in the 100 meter dash, as Shae Dutler finished in 14.05 seconds and Hannah Ehrp finished in 14.22 seconds. Gabi Mason won the 200 meter dash for the Raptors in a time of 28.23 seconds, while Ehrp finished in sixth place with a time of 29.05 seconds.

The Raptors were named co-champs after finishing in a tie with IKM-Manning. Brody Deitering won the 100 meter dash for Ridge View with a time of 11.99 seconds. Earnie Clayton finished in sixth place with a time of 12.42 seconds, followed immediately by Isaac Goettsch with a time of 12.47 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Tyhler Kolpin took fifth place with a time of 24.94 seconds.

Gabe Winterrowd took third place in the 100 meter dash in a time of 12.19 seconds, while Josh Peters took fifth place in a time of 12.38 seconds. In the 200 meter dash, Winterrowd captured fourth place in a time of 24.77 seconds. Winterrowd also placed third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.76 seconds.
