Odebolt's town festival Odebolt Creek Days was held on Saturday, June 8. There were many events throughout the day including a parade, Special K'z the clown, museum tours, petting zoo, car and tractor shows, and more. *See more photos in the Ida County Courier.
Beginning Thursday, June 13, there will be the 1st Annual Holstein Chamber Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. at the Holstein Country Club. From 5-9 p.m., enjoy Thirsty Thursday at CornerHaus 101! Fill You Tummies at 6 p.m.
To kick off the summer reading program at the Ida Grove Public Library, they had a one-of-a-kind visitor. A Jedi traveling far and wide to train new padawans in the way of the force.
The wait is over! The Ide Grove outdoor swimming pool has finally opened for the summer! On May 24, the pool opened its doors, and encouraged people to dip into their waters for the summer. They are open everyday from 1-5 p.m. with a $5.00 admission fee for adults, and children three and under are $2.00. Then, for an evening session from 7-9 p.m.
As the temperatures begin to rise, everyone needs to go somewhere to cool off. Luckily for us, the Holstein Aquatic Center has officially opened for the summer on May 27. The pool is open everyday, weather permitting, from 12:30-5 p.m. for a $5.00 admission fee. Then, in the evening, they are open 6:30-8:30 p.m. with a $3.00 admission fee.
12.6 miles away from Ida Grove, is a quaint little town called Odebolt, with a swimming pool. Their community swimming pool is open for summer! On May 27, they opened at 1 p.m. for the summer. Everyday they are open from 1-5 p.m. and then 6-9 p.m. with a $4.00 daily admission.
Dainty Weld comes from their shop in downtown Storm Lake to host an event. They displayed their permanent jewelry and Hat Bar and customers could purchase on the spot at Sunrise Coffee on June 6 during Sunrise’s Thirsty Thursday night. The owners are Destiny Lansink and Hallie Rieman.
