Fancy is the Spring Tea Party at the Odebolt Museum on April 6. Ladies entered the museum and were immediately fitted with a special hat of whichever era they chose. Tables were set with beautiful china with tiny flowers etched into dinnerware.
Whitey Pierce and his wife Justine took over ownership of MBW Repair in Odebolt at the beginning of the year. Whitey discussed the wide variety of work he does.
Gregor Ernst and Deb Ulrich sat down recently for a visit about the flourishing youth soccer program in Ida Grove. The two shared their involvement in helping run the program.
Children raced to gather Easter eggs at the Kiwanis ball fields in Ida Grove on Saturday morning. They also had a chance to meet the Easter Bunny, and were treated to hot dogs and prizes after the Egg Hunt.
The Easter Bunny was up bright and early at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30. He was in front of the Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek. Kids came to see him or her before the Easter Egg Hunt, which started at 9 a.m.
The Inn at Battle Creek served guests at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on March 31. We and many other guests had our choice of ham or roast beef along with mashed potatoes and gravy, scalloped corn, green beans, delicious rolls and salad, and many choices of desserts. I had lemon meringue and my Rick had rhubarb pie. It was a fine dinner filling our tummies for the day and leading us to a nap in the afternoon.
