Cory and Alicia Duff have owned The Bolt Drive-in in Odebolt since May 18, 2020. They began this adventure during the whole Covid crisis. It worked out for them because they are a carry-out business, and so people came.
On March 12 at 2 p.m., the Des Moines Metro Opera Iowa presented the Opera “Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing” to all K-5 students in the OABCIG school district at the High School Auditorium.
Daryl Durbin and Hunter Durbin, the father and son co-owners of Durbin’s Garage in downtown Ida Grove, have a passion for working on cars. The Durbins especially enjoy restoring classic cars. The two men discussed the work they do in their shop.
Pink balloons and pretty dresses were scattered amongst the gym floor along with the fathers of these pretty girls in the pretty dresses. What was happening? The OABCIG father-daughter dance happened on March 16 starting at 5 p.m. When the fathers and daughters were not dancing or at least bouncing balloons around, they stopped for a bite to eat. Tables were lined with pink tablecloths and heart-shaped balloon centerpieces.
