The Part-time Aviators are a band and musical group coming to entertain us at the King on Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. The members of the band are Jarred Bumann, Tom Larson, Aedan Hickey, Kevin Gentry, and Aaron Larson. They have been playing together as a band for about two-and-half years now.
The Ida County Board of Supervisors met on Jan. 2. Schubert was appointed 2024 Board Chair, and Whiteing was appointed 2024 Vice Chair. The supervisors decided to keep meeting times on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 9 a.m.
The Ida County Conservation Center hosted the Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 23.People joined to be part of this century-old nation-wide annual bird count.
Kristina Cronin, owner of Francis & Co. baby and children’s boutique in downtown Holstein, enjoys helping families with their children’s clothing needs. Cronin shared some of the items her store has to offer.
Workers continue to make progress on the new City Hall building in downtown Ida Grove. Construction continues, even as workers await a new front door to be installed, according to Kelly Young, Projects Management Clerk for Ida Grove. Young stated once the front door is completed around January 15, workers will be able to start on the flooring. L&L Builders is the head contractor on the project.
