SCSB has donated $75,000 to the Horn Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and Lab Expansion Renovation Project. This donation is part of a $1.5M fund drive to improve the hospital’s facilities and efficiency in patient care. SCSB's donation has secured naming rights for the hospital's new nurse’s station.

The Presbyterian Church in Odebolt had their Christmas Program on Sunday evening, Dec. 17. It was “Christmas at the Beach” for the youngsters of the church. They told the story of Jesus’ birth in the setting of a beach. Pretty unconventional but entertaining to say the least. It was enjoyable to see the kids so relaxed in this setting to tell the story of the birth of Jesus.
Tate and Samantha Reese own Golden Heart Woodworking in Odebolt. Little hearts did make Golden Heart Woodworking. Tate and Samantha’s first two babies were both born with heart defects and had surgery when they were babies.
