The Ridge View girls track and field squad competed in the East Sac County Relays in Sac City last Monday. The Raptors came out on top once again, compiling 147 team points. Their nearest competition was Southeast Valley with 132 points.
Taya Phillips took fourth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.43 seconds. Ridge View dominated the 200-meter dash, as Gabi Mason won the event in 27.05 seconds, while Arissa Kretlow won second place in 27.84 seconds. Faith Freese captured second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.52.

Isaac Goettsch captured first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.39 seconds. Kellen Jensen won the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 51.54 seconds. Drew Blum won first place in the 110-meter hurdles, turning in the winning time of 15.18 seconds.
The OABCIG girls golf squad competed in the Western Valley Conference championship tournament at Le Mars on Monday. The Falcons captured second place with a team score of 421. Kingsley-Pierson won the meet with a score of 413. OABCIG was led by Bente de Vries, who fired a 100. Right behind her was Rylee Krayenhagen with a 104. Gwen Jacobson shot a 108, followed closely by Natalie Burk with a 109. Olivia Schroeder chipped in with a 134, and Hayden Zimmerman added a 137. Krayenhagen and de Vries were named 1st team all-conference.
The OABCIG boys golf team traveled to Le Mars for the Western Valley Conference championship golf tournament last week. The Falcons captured first place with a team score of 313, just edging out Kingsley-Pierson with a 315. Axton Miller received medalist honors after firing a 66, the only golfer to shoot a score lower than 70. Ben Hofmeister had the third best score, firing a 76. Kale Ladwig contributed with an 81, while Griffin Diersen shot a 90. Kane Ladwig chipped in with a 93, and Trenton Gilbert fired a 96.
The Ridge View boys golf team earned second place at Wednesday’s Class 2A Sectional golf tournament in Mapleton. The Raptors advanced two individuals at the sectional meet. Kellen Clausen shot a 78 to place fourth out of 47 golfers, and Gavin Vohs shot an 81 to advance. The two played on Monday in Carroll. Other Ridge View scores were Drew Burk with an 82, and Robert Forristal carded an 87. Levi Albers scored a 93 and Gabe Chance contributed a 94. Carroll Kuemper won the meet with a team score of 308.
The OABCIG track and field squads participated in the Westwood Relays in Sloan on Friday. Both the boys and girls teams won fourth place in the meet. The lady Falcons scored 62 team points, while Ridge View won the meet with 142 points. The Falcon boys scored 82 team points, while West Monona won the meet with 139 points.

The Ridge View boys track and field squad traveled to Kingsley for the Kingsley-Pierson/Woodbury Central Invitational on Thursday. The Raptors captured first place with a team score of 138, getting past KP-WC with 127 points. Other scores included Harris-Lake Park (68), Siouxland Christian (45), and River Valley (23).
Ridge View coach Dale Tokheim shared his thoughts on the team’s performance.
“The day started off a little warm, but it was nice because the wind wasn't blowing very much. After an hour-long wait, the meet was canceled with 4 events left due to lightning.
