Science is a blast literally at the Odebolt Library on July 12. Jenna Briggs from Science Heroes Science Show performed experiments with the children. One experience showed the force of wind which signaled the smoke alarm to go off. Briggs said that has never happened before.

Alaskan Myths and More was the presentation Don Poggensee gave on Sunday, June 30 at the King Theatre. Dough Clough introduced Poggensee and we found out that Don’s photography has been in over a 100 magazines and 35 books. The presentation was about his 7th trip to Alaska.
It’s time once again for another Water Carnival at Black Hawk Lake in Lake View. The events get underway on Friday, July 19, with the ESCO Alumni Banquet & Reunion, featuring a Social Hour at 5 p.m. and Banquet at 6 p.m.
